Description
This self-paced learning package includes 7 hours of video content and comprehensive powerpoint slide notes teaching participants a wide range of strategies to assist students with disabilities from pre-school, pre-foundation level, primary school and early senior school. Strategies specific to students with Physical Disabilities, students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Learning Difficulties are presented by Maria McKenzie a registered occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience supporting students with disabilities to learn writing skills.
Completion of the I can write training package is a pre-requisite to registration for the Handwriting for Children with Disabilities training.
This training is suitable for Educators working in Special Schools as well as Primary School Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, Education Support Staff, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Psychologists working with children with disabilities. It may also be completed by parents who are interested in furthering their skills and learning on this topic provided they have completed the I can write pre-requisite training first.
